We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our finance department in Atlanta, GA. Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to company policies and relevant accounting standards (GAAP).
- System Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks/Xero) to streamline financial processes and generate reports.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm environment.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors, spot trends, and ensure high levels of accuracy in data entry.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
