Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee the daily financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to management for decision-making purposes.
- Close Processes: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and compliant.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Payroll: Process payroll and manage tax filings to ensure timely and accurate distribution.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero is required; experience with Sage is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
