Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small to medium-sized businesses
- Process accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll assistance
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Maintain accurate QuickBooks Online databases with audit-ready documentation
- Assist with sales tax filings and quarterly tax preparation support
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows and client reporting
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual audits and financial reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Colorado state tax regulations
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, Xero) highly valued
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills for client relationship management
