Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and budget vs. actual reports
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring GAAP compliance
- Oversee sales tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance across Texas jurisdictions
- Implement process improvements for accounting workflows using QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with CPA firm for quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Texas sales tax filing experience and knowledge of state regulations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing and compliance
- Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
