Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with detailed variance analysis
- Maintain and reconcile multiple general ledger accounts using QuickBooks Online
- Coordinate sales tax filings, payroll tax deposits, and year-end 1099 processing
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with accurate journal entries
- Implement internal controls to ensure financial data integrity and audit readiness
- Collaborate with CPAs and tax professionals during quarterly reviews and audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in full-cycle accounting for diverse business structures
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and IRS tax compliance
- Detail-oriented with exceptional numerical accuracy and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a client-facing role
