Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for diverse client portfolios
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for 15-20 small to mid-sized businesses
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online for new client onboarding
- Coordinate year-end audits and provide supporting documentation to CPA firms
- Develop customized financial reporting dashboards for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of managing multi-state payroll and sales tax filings
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated analytical problem-solving abilities
- Experience with nonprofit and for-profit accounting frameworks
