Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Oversee the full cycle of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets, for internal review.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- System Management: Maintain and update the company's accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage).
- Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for client financial inquiries and provide exceptional service.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or CPA firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Pro, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
- Excel Skills: Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP and tax preparation processes.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
