Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts receivable/payable, and payroll records
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for client review
- Manage bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Oversee tax preparation processes and coordinate with external CPA firms
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks, Xero)
- Assist with audits and financial reporting for multi-entity organizations
- Develop customized financial dashboards for client decision-making
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience in public accounting or corporate finance
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and MS Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP, IRS regulations, and Oregon state tax codes
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities for client-facing financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) a significant plus
