Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment portfolios monthly
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with detailed commentary
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Implement internal controls and optimize accounting workflows
- Assist with tax preparation documentation and audit support
- Train junior bookkeepers on firm standards and software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 3+ years bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and Illinois sales tax regulations
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and construction/real estate industries
- Exceptional attention to detail with error reconciliation skills
- Strong communication abilities for client financial consultations
