Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes, bank reconciliations, and payroll coordination
- Implement and optimize accounting systems to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Collaborate with CPA firms during tax season and provide year-round financial reporting support
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with strict attention to deadlines
- Develop customized financial dashboards and KPI tracking for client decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven track record of managing complex accounting cycles for diverse industries
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and Texas state tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to reconcile discrepancies in large datasets
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Certification in QuickBooks Online or Xero required
