In this role, you will be the backbone of our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial records.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, general ledgers, and month-end/quarterly close packages for clients.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Accounts Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and cash flow management.
- Payroll: Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize advanced features of QuickBooks Online and Xero to streamline accounting workflows.
- Compliance: Assist in tax preparation (1099s, W-2s) and ensure all financial practices adhere to GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public accounting firm or high-volume corporate setting.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Pro/Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables). Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial clients.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data entry and financial analysis.
- Integrity: Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and confidentiality.
