Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Handle complex payroll processing and tax compliance for Illinois-based businesses
- Conduct bank reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis with precision
- Collaborate with CFOs to provide strategic financial insights and forecasting
- Maintain organized digital archives of all financial documentation
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency across client portfolios
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent certification (CPA/CMA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in payroll processing for Illinois businesses
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Illinois tax regulations
- Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation required
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error reconciliation history
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
