Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets) for executive review
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance filings
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks proficiency required)
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX/GAAP compliance
- Collaborate with CFO on budget forecasting and financial analysis
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in a professional services firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and MS Excel
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Expertise in month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Strong understanding of sales tax (FL) and payroll regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error tolerance
- Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environments with competing priorities
