Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small to mid-sized businesses using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports with analytical insights
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Coordinate with tax preparers for quarterly filings and annual compliance
- Implement internal controls and optimize accounting workflows for efficiency
- Maintain organized digital financial archives with strict confidentiality protocols
- Train junior bookkeepers on Denver-specific tax regulations and software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Deep knowledge of Colorado sales tax laws and payroll regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation or equivalent
- Exceptional attention to detail with error reconciliation abilities
- Strong communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration
