Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and process payroll for multiple entities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state/federal tax regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems for operational efficiency
- Conduct regular audits and internal control assessments
- Collaborate with CFO on strategic financial planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public or corporate accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Deep knowledge of GAAP principles and North Carolina tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar designation highly desirable
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Proven track record of managing multi-client financial portfolios
- Excellent communication skills for client and stakeholder interactions
