Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive leadership
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes with audit-ready documentation
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial accuracy
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead process improvements using QuickBooks and advanced Excel automation
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 4+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- CPA or advanced certification strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and Tennessee tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience implementing financial controls for mid-sized companies
