Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse client portfolios including AR/AP, payroll, and tax preparation
- Reconcile complex multi-entity accounts and bank statements with 99.9% accuracy
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with variance analysis
- Implement and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero) for new clients
- Coordinate quarterly tax filings and year-end audits with external CPA firms
- Develop customized financial reporting dashboards for executive decision-making
- Maintain compliance with Illinois state and federal financial regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent professional certification (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and Illinois tax regulations
- Proven ability to reconcile complex accounts with minimal supervision
- Experience implementing accounting systems for growing businesses
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Excellent communication skills for client relationship management
