Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and process vendor payments
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings in coordination with HR
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online workflows
- Support annual audits and grant reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years progressive bookkeeping experience in nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Strong understanding of nonprofit fund accounting and grants management
- Exceptional analytical skills with high accuracy standards
- Ability to manage deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
