Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 SMB clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and payroll accounts with 100% accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial compliance
- Collaborate with tax professionals for quarterly/year-end filings
- Train junior bookkeepers on best practices and software utilization
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with SMBs
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero
- CPA or EA certification preferred (not required)
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Deep understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage high-volume transactions with precision
- Exceptional communication skills for client reporting
- Experience with automated accounting software integrations
