Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end closing procedures
- Generate financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks cloud-based accounting systems
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for California businesses
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly and annual reporting
- Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional certification (CPA/CMA preferred)
- Expertise in reconciling multi-entity accounts and complex payroll systems
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with California sales tax reporting requirements
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and financial analytical abilities
