Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and insightful commentary
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and support annual audits
- Oversee sales tax compliance and quarterly filings across multiple states
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with tax professionals during year-end closing procedures
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-entity portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with sales tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies
