Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and monthly financial statements.
- Process payroll and ensure all tax filings are completed accurately and on time.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
