We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Weekend Bookkeeper to join our growing finance team in Nashville, TN. Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurate and accounted for.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the closing of monthly books, verifying journal entries, and preparing preliminary financial statements.
- Accounts Management: Process accounts payable and receivable, manage vendor statements, and ensure timely invoice processing.
- Payroll Administration: Manage payroll operations for weekend staff, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making and budget tracking.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to company financial policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, with a preference for candidates familiar with weekend or high-volume cycles.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with team members and management.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
