Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online for 15+ client accounts
- Process bi-weekly payroll and tax filings for New Mexico-based businesses
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card transactions monthly
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor relationships
- Prepare sales tax returns for NM state compliance
- Assist with annual audits and financial forecasting projects
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or relevant professional certification (CPA/CMA preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Excel with advanced formula knowledge
- Deep understanding of NM sales tax regulations and payroll compliance
- Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail with 100% reconciliation accuracy
- Strong communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration
