Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ clients
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS tax regulations
- Implement QuickBooks solutions and troubleshoot accounting systems
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly tax preparation
- Lead month-end closing processes and audit support
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication for client relationship management
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with construction or manufacturing accounting a plus
