Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 diverse client portfolios using QuickBooks Online/Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) with analytical insights
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Coordinate year-end tax preparations and audit documentation with external CPAs
- Implement process improvements for financial reporting efficiency
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent certifications (CPA, CB preferred)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Proven track record in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail with error detection skills
