Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) with insightful commentary
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring GAAP compliance
- Implement and maintain robust accounting systems using QuickBooks Online/Xero
- Conduct internal audits and process improvements to enhance financial controls
- Collaborate with CPAs during tax preparation and financial audits
- Maintain organized digital filing systems and ensure SOX compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-entity portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
- CPA or EA certification preferred (not required)
- Proven track record in month-end closing and financial reporting
- Experience with sales tax filings and payroll processing (ADP/QuickBooks Payroll)
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Strong communication skills for client-facing financial consultations
