Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous accuracy
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow operations
- Generate monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance (1099/W-2)
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks systems for multi-client portfolios
- Coordinate with auditors during annual reviews and tax season
- Develop financial forecasting models and budgetary controls
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with Bay Area clients
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Xero
- Advanced knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage multi-currency transactions and complex reconciliations
- Associates/Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Experience with construction/nonprofit bookkeeping a major plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and deadline-driven work ethic
