Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Process payroll, tax filings, and accounts payable/receivable with 100% accuracy
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment portfolios monthly
- Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure audit readiness
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual tax season and financial audits
- Maintain organized digital filing systems for all financial documents
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios
- Intimate knowledge of CA sales tax, payroll tax, and corporate compliance
- Professional certification (QB ProAdvisor, AIPB) strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-error financial reporting history
- Ability to work independently while maintaining client communication standards
