Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relations, and ensure timely payments while tracking incoming revenue.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly and weekly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and accruals.
- Compliance: Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage; Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client and team interaction.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
