Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and ensure timely processing
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Oversee payroll processing and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks proficiency required)
- Coordinate annual audits and tax preparation documentation
- Develop internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a professional setting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and Texas tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial reporting
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing a plus
