Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and expense reports
- Manage sales tax filings and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and tax preparation
- Implement QuickBooks optimizations for 15+ client portfolios
- Mentor junior bookkeepers using standardized protocols
- Streamline financial workflows using automation tools
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- CPA or QuickBooks certification preferred
- Expertise in GAAP principles and compliance
- Proven ability to manage multi-client workloads
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Xero and FreshBooks a plus
