We're seeking a meticulous Senior Bookkeeper to manage complex accounting portfolios for diverse businesses across Indianapolis. This hybrid role combines strategic financial oversight with hands-on accounting operations in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-entity accounting systems with zero-error tolerance
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive stakeholders
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and payroll processing for 15+ clients
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Enterprise workflows for operational efficiency
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures with strict deadlines
- Collaborate with CFOs on financial forecasting and budget modeling
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all client accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years progressive bookkeeping experience
- Advanced QuickBooks Enterprise certification required
- Expertise in multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Proven ability to reconcile complex balance sheets with 99.9% accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query)
- Experience with ERP systems like Sage or NetSuite preferred
- Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) designation strongly preferred
