Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll for 15+ clients
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) and monthly management reports
- Oversee sales tax filings and ensure compliance with CA tax regulations
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online systems for diverse industries
- Coordinate with auditors during annual reviews and tax season
Qualifications
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- Expertise in multi-entity accounting and construction/retail industries
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and financial software
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax codes
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
- CPA or enrolled agent designation preferred
