We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage critical financial operations for our growing client portfolio. This hybrid role combines remote flexibility with collaborative in-office work in our downtown Cleveland headquarters. You'll be instrumental in maintaining financial integrity while supporting our mission to empower local businesses through expert accounting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ diverse clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheets) with variance analysis
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Assist with tax preparation and quarterly reporting
- Implement process improvements for financial workflows
- Mentor junior bookkeepers on best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven track record with multi-client portfolio management
- Strong knowledge of Ohio sales tax regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- CPA or QuickBooks certification a plus
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
