Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and reconcile accounts monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll systems
- Prepare financial statements and tax documentation packages
- Implement QuickBooks solutions for small business clients
- Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews
- Collaborate with CPAs on year-end closing procedures
- Train junior staff on financial software best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
- Advanced Excel skills with VBA knowledge preferred
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Active Bookkeeper certification (e.g., CB) strongly preferred
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Ability to manage confidential financial data securely
