Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full cycle of bookkeeping operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledgers.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports, to support business decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax filings and maintain tax documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions using industry-standard accounting software.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate financial status and variance reports to management and clients.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online/Pro and/or Xero; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with payroll processing (ADP, Gusto, etc.) and tax preparation.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, macros).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies quickly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
