Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements with variance analysis
- Maintain accurate general ledger with strict adherence to GAAP standards
- Implement and optimize cloud accounting software workflows (QuickBooks Online/Xero)
- Coordinate with tax preparers and auditors during compliance periods
- Develop customized financial reports to support client decision-making
- Lead training sessions for junior bookkeeping staff on new processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel (including PivotTables/VLOOKUP)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Proven experience managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Exceptional attention to detail with 100% reconciliation accuracy
- Strong analytical skills for financial variance interpretation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data
- Excellent communication skills for client relationship management
