Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll records
- Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment accounts with precision
- Manage sales tax filings and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and tax preparation
- Implement and improve accounting systems and controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Proven expertise in GAAP and tax compliance standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail with 100% accuracy in financial reporting
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) preferred
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
