Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 clients using QuickBooks Online/Xero
- Prepare month-end close reports with variance analysis and reconciliations
- Oversee A/P, A/R, payroll processing, and sales tax filings
- Generate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with executive summaries
- Implement process improvements for efficiency gains across client portfolios
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual audits and tax season
- Maintain organized digital filing systems with version control protocols
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred)
- Expertise in multi-state payroll compliance and sales tax regulations
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Proven track record of meeting month-end deadlines consistently
- Excellent communication skills translating financial concepts to non-accountants
- Professional certification (e.g., CB, AIPB) strongly preferred
- Proficient in accounting software integrations (Hubdoc, Bill.com)
