Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets for management review.
- Payroll: Manage payroll processing, ensuring tax filings and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with GAAP and local tax laws.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize QuickBooks Online and Xero to manage client accounts efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software is mandatory.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and tax preparation principles.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
