Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage the entire bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring tax filings and deductions are handled correctly.
- Compliance & Auditing: Maintain accurate financial records and assist with external audits and internal reviews.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows, software usage, and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excel Skills: Expert level in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and complex formulas.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
