Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements and general ledger accounts with precision.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of quarterly VAT returns to HMRC.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and detailed management accounts.
- Process payroll in strict accordance with UK employment laws and tax requirements.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and perform regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounts receivable.
- Full AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in leading accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
