Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile client accounts using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing for diverse client portfolios
- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies within 48 hours
- Implement and optimize bookkeeping systems for 15-20 SMB clients
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly tax preparation and audits
- Train junior bookkeepers on financial compliance standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks/Xero
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with 0% error tolerance
- Strong communication skills for client consultations
