Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex insurance claims across multiple payers with 99% accuracy
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct payer communication and documentation
- Lead month-end closing procedures including AR analysis and payment application
- Implement compliance protocols for HIPAA and revenue cycle regulations
- Train junior staff on billing systems and industry best practices
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize charge capture workflows
- Generate quarterly revenue cycle performance reports for leadership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial insurance payers
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS-1500 claim forms
- Advanced proficiency in Epic EMR and NextGen billing platforms
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or RHIA/RHIT credentials preferred
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 15%+
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Strong negotiation skills for complex claim resolution
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced healthcare environment
