Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations for 500+ patient accounts
- Resolve complex insurance claim denials with 95% accuracy rate
- Oversee A/R aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Train staff on billing compliance updates (HIPAA, CMS)
- Collaborate with IT to optimize billing software workflows
- Prepare monthly financial reports for executive leadership
- Conduct quarterly billing process audits
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience in Sacramento area
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential required
- Expertise in Epic EMR and NextGen billing platforms
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Experience with third-party payers (Medicare, Medi-Cal, commercial)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
- Proven track record in reducing claim denials by 30%+
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Finance or related field
