Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for 500+ daily patient encounters
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient payment issues within SLA
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and audit readiness for all financial transactions
- Collaborate with clinical teams to capture accurate charge documentation
- Analyze denial patterns and implement corrective actions
- Train staff on billing software updates and coding standards
- Generate monthly revenue cycle performance reports
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital/clinic setting
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency with Epic EMR and Medisoft billing platforms
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC-A credential preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payer policies
- Proven track record of reducing claim denial rates by 15%+
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with RCM cycle optimization
