As a critical member of our revenue cycle management department, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of medical claims while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Resolve billing discrepancies through follow-up with providers and payers
- Generate monthly reports on accounts receivable and denial rates
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with coding and clinical teams to maintain accurate documentation
- Manage denial appeals and re-billing processes
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing systems
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
