- Manage end-to-end billing cycles for 100+ healthcare accounts using Epic and Meditech systems
- Resolve complex insurance claim denials with 95% first-pass resolution rate
- Analyze revenue trends and prepare monthly variance reports for executive review
- Collaborate with collections team to maintain <15% accounts receivable aging
- Implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and Massachusetts billing regulations
- Mentor junior billing specialists through structured training programs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS-1500 forms
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP and pivot table capabilities
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS)
- Demonstrated experience with RCM software (e.g., athenahealth, eClinicalWorks)
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance preferred
- Proven track record of reducing denial rates by 25%+
