Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through proactive payer negotiations and appeals
- Implement process improvements using Epic and NextGen EHR systems
- Conduct monthly audits for compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations
- Mentor junior staff on billing protocols and best practices
- Generate executive dashboards showing KPIs like days in A/R and denial rates
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and UB-04 claim forms
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC credentials preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Epic Resolute and Denial Management software
- Demonstrated success reducing AR days below 45
- Exceptional analytical skills with data-driven problem-solving approach
- Strong communication abilities for stakeholder negotiations
